Default and Foreclosure Report


Notice to All Entities Who File the Semi-Annual Default and Foreclosure Report

The Default and Foreclosure Report is implemented and authorized by Section 115 of the High Risk Home Loan Act (815 ILCS 137/115). Disclosure of this information is REQUIRED.

Mortgage Banking (Servicers), Thrifts & State Banks

It is required that you file the Default and Foreclosure Report for the period of July 1 - December 31, 2015 online.
The due date to file online for this period is Friday, April 1, 2016.

File the report on-line using the link below. The necessary user ID and password will be furnished to you via U.S. mail or electronic mail.
If you filed the Default and Foreclosure Report for the previous reporting period, you may use the User ID and password previously furnished.

Online Default and Foreclosure Reporting for Mortgage Banking, Thrifts and State Banks
Default and Foreclosure Excel Spreadsheets (For electronic submission (only) of property information for foreclosures and high risk home loan reporting - see note below).

NOTE: If you filed anything other than "0" for question #3, the property information must be entered online on the appropriate (foreclosure/high risk home loan reporting) screens.  For question #3, if there are more than 20 properties reported, submit the property information via email using an excel spreadsheet to Susan.A.Hines@Illinois.gov.  Encrypted submissions will NOT be accepted, your Excel spreadsheets can be password protected (only) and your password must be provided in a separate email. Your submission must be in the same format and columns as the spreadsheet found online.  The spreadsheets can be downloaded from our website at Default and Foreclosure Excel Spreadsheets.


State Credit Unions and Non-Bank Finance Companies

NOTICE: The online Default and Foreclosure reporting system requires the use of Internet Explorer. Attempting to submit the report with other browsers will result in an unsuccessful submission.
If you use Internet Explorer 10 or 11, you may need to use compatibility view for the report to function correctly. If you are a Windows 10 user, you may need to search for and run Internet Explorer using the search function.
